Year Zero Mini (YZM) is a tabletop RPG framework best used with gritty settings. It uses a modified version of the Year Zero Engine found in Tales From the Loop, and has other influences from story games like Burning Wheel and Alas for the Awful Sea. You can see the half-page character sheet below.
To play, you will need at least a dozen standard six-sided dice (D6s), the rules, and character sheets printed out. Ideally each player will have their own set of dice.
The rules are designed to be printed out double-sided, creating 2 double-sided sheets of paper – a Player’s Handbook (PHB) and GM’s Guide (GMG).
